Former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp looks to be enjoying himself in the wake of his Anfield departure after the German was spotted at the Mallorca Tennis Championships.

Initially arriving on Merseyside back in 2015, Klopp spent a trophy-laden eight-and-a-half-year spell with Liverpool, winning everything there was to win in club football.

However, earlier this year, the German announced he would leave Liverpool at the end of the 2023/24 Premier League season, citing that he was “running out of energy”.

“It is that I am, how can I say it, running out of energy,” said Klopp upon announcing his decision. “I have no problem now, obviously, I knew it already for longer that I will have to announce it at one point, but I am absolutely fine now. I know that I cannot do the job again and again and again and again.

“After the years we had together and after all the time we spent together and after all the things we went through together, the respect grew for you, the love grew for you and the least I owe you is the truth – and that is the truth.”

However, fast forward six months, and the 57-year-old looks to be enjoying himself without having to deal with the strain of preparing for another rollercoaster Premier League campaign.

On Saturday afternoon, Klopp was spotted in attendance at the Mallorca Tennis Championships, donning a Germany shirt just hours before their Euro 2024 clash against Denmark alongside his wife Ulla Sandrock. He was also pictured speaking to Austrian player Sebastian Ofner.

The former Liverpool boss was caught on camera smiling and laughing at the event, with fans on social media quick to point out just how relaxed and happy the German looked.

“So happy to see him happy,” wrote one Liverpool fan on X. Another added: “So good to see him so happy, living his best life with the people he loves.”

A third said: “I’ve never seen Klopp this happy in years.” And a fourth wrote: “Jurgen living his best life.... good for him! PS It has rained all day in Liverpool, so he's not stupid....”
