Flying on an airplane for the first time can feel overwhelming. You're not sure what to expect, or how the flight will make you feel. For one little Golden Retriever named Mango, the first flight is just another day.

On June 14, 2024, Mango's human ( @mangogoldison ) shared the sweet clip of the pup and his human as they wait to board their plane—and Mango doesn't seem nervous in the slightest. Watch how cool, calm, and downright adorable this little guy is below!

"Is that big bird?" the caption asks as little Mango and his dad stare out of the airport window to see the big plane outside. The words, "It's my first time being on a plane," follow as 8-week-old Mango takes in all the new scenery before rolling around on the floor to play with Dad.

This itty-bitty fella has so much fun, he catches the eyes of many who offer plenty of pets, then quickly gets right back to playing with his leash to pass the time. "They say I'm future Mufasa," flashes on the screen just as Mango drifts off to sleep on Dad's lap until it's time to board the plane.

Some of Mango's loyal followers stopped by to comment just how cute he is, but we have a feeling he already knows (just look at him!).

How To Prepare For Puppy's First Flight

If you're planning on taking your puppy on their first flight , The American Kennel Club says it's important to plan ahead. Some airlines have restrictions on "dog age, size, and breed type, as well as what type of travel crate is required."

Also, be sure your dog is at least eight weeks old and fully weaned. They must have vaccinations and an up-to-date immunization and health record one month prior to flying. There's also typically a fee in addition to your ticket to take your dog in an airline-approves carrier that fits under the seat, but some airlines only permit them as cargo. For this, take into account the weather as some carriers don't allow some pets to fly certain months.

On the day of the flight, be sure your pup has a clean crate with several layers of pee pads, solid food, and time to release their energy before the flight.

Traveling with dogs for the first time can be a nerve-racking experience for everyone involved, so have a plan for how to ease their worries away and soon enough, they'll be a pro just like Mango.
