Willie Nelson 's team has a new update on the musician's health—and it sounds like things are starting to look up.

After missing out on several shows as part of the Outlaw Music Festival tour due to unspecified health concerns , the 91-year-old country star has finally been cleared by his doctors.

However, he still won't be taking the stage at any of the performances this weekend.

According to the latest update from Nelson's team, the "Riders in the Sky" crooner "has been cleared by his doctors to go back on the road again," and he is expected to "resume performing on the Outlaw Tour next week."

"Willie will not be on this weekend's dates," his team clarified in the statement shared to Instagram on Friday, June 28.

After missing Friday night's concert in Syracuse, N.Y., Nelson will continue to be sidelined for the two other performances this weekend, taking place in Wantagh, N.Y., on Saturday, June 29, and Holmdel, N.J., on Sunday, June 30.

Fortunately for fans who already have tickets to this weekend's shows, they won't have to miss out on Nelson's music entirely, as Lukas Nelson and Family, along with some special guests, will be playing a set to include "Willie's classics and other songs," according to the statement.

Plus, the other acts on the tour, including Bob Dylan , Robert Plant and Allison Krauss , and Celisse will all "perform as scheduled" for the two remaining shows next weekend, before Nelson is expected to rejoin them again in Mansfield, Mass., on Tuesday, July 2.
