Hear (OK, read) me well: You're never too old to love your toys and games from childhood ! After all, many of us still think fondly about the ones we grew up with because of the beautiful memories attached to them — especially the ones that are still around today for this generation to play with. From Barbie to Legos to Hello Kitty everything  — they'll always have a place in our hearts. And what's wrong with them still having a place in our homes as well? After all, Barbie decor never really went away, especially not after the Margot Robbie-led film in 2023. And Home Goods can never keep the Hello Kitty-themed finds on their shelves for long before they go viral on TikTok and sell out yet again.

DIYer and TikToker Jessica Carolyn has an affinity for Hot Wheels and she, too, found a creative way to incorporate the long-beloved toy cars into her home decor.

It all started from this very cool Hot Wheels mirror inspiration on Pinterest.

Much like IKEA, Pinterest truly is the gift that keeps on giving. It's a hotbed for endless inspiration for literally anything you could possibly desire to feel inspired about. Per my digging, you can find different versions of this Hot Wheels mirror available for purchase on Etsy ranging from $105 to over $300! However, Jessica saw this and figured she could create her own version but better and more affordably.

Check out how the crafty DIYer put her spin on the Hot Wheels car mirror.

She grabbed a simple arched mirror, painted its frame in black, and then stuck the cars down one by one in no particular color scheme. "I’m eventually going to super glue them on," she wrote to an inquiring commenter. "But I’ve just used Blutack at the moment because I have commitments issues 😂." Bluetack is a reusable adhesive that can be applied and removed with ease. It's also pretty cheap. You can find a pack of Bluetack on Amazon for under $7.

    The results are glorious.

Jessica's comments overflowed with supporters feeling inspired and excited by the incorporation of a nostalgic toy brand into home decor for themselves or the kids in their lives.

"My son would love this," one reviewer wrote.

"Should I do this with my husband's childhood vintage Hot Weels collection 🥰🥰 I reckon he’d love it," one curious wife shared. "The boxes take up soooo much room."

Several people tagged loved ones, noting that the DIY idea would be good for their children.

"i’m doing the same thing," another person shared. "Lmfao I saw that same photo and said f--- that price. I’m making my own waiting on my buddy to finish my Hot Wheels sticker."

What nostalgic toy from your childhood would you incorporate into your current home decor?
