Liverpool transfer news is suddenly coming thick and fast, after weeks of a relatively quiet window. The relevance of June 30 for clubs affected by PSR concerns means today is a big day, and the Reds are apparently lining up a big push for Anthony Gordon .

The Newcastle star dominated yesterday's headlines, amid revelations Liverpool had turned down the chance to sign him in a deal involving Jarell Quansah . But Arne Slot's side is keen on Gordon, and could now be looking at alternative ways to get the deal done.

Meanwhile, other transfer rumors continue to fly around in the background, and Joshua Kimmich is a name being discussed. He advanced to the Euro 2024 quarter-finals last night against Denmark, but his club future remains uncertain.

One suitor has made a decision on him, potentially changing the picture for the Reds. Here is the Liverpool.com verdict on the transfer gossip to emerge around the Reds today..

    Anthony Gordon (Newcastle)

Liverpool is preparing a big offer for Anthony Gordon. It comes as Newcastle enters the final day in which it can make sales which count towards the current PSR accounting period.

The Magpies agreed a fee for Yankuba Minteh with Brighton yesterday, potentially easing its concerns, but it's thought that it still needs to raise more funds in order to avoid a breach and potential points deduction. Liverpool could offer a solution.

The proposal involves $63m (£50m/€59m) in cash, with Caoimhin Kelleher also offered in part-exchange, per TeamTalk . The goalkeeper's future was already uncertain this summer, as he considers his options in terms of becoming a number one somewhere else.

Liverpool reportedly values Kelleher as high as $44m (£35m/€41m), which would place the package on offer for Gordon in the region of $107m. That's a statement of intent, but it remains to be seen if Newcastle can be swayed.

Liverpool.com says: This is a deal that would work for everyone. Newcastle has previously been linked to James Trafford, so it clearly wants a goalkeeper, and Kelleher is twice the player .

Meanwhile, it gets enough money to potentially avoid PSR sanctions. And Liverpool secures a world class player at a discount, while granting Kelleher the move he deserves without having to accept a knock-down fee.

    Joshua Kimmich (Bayern Munich)

Barcelona has made a decision on Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich. It will "cool" its interest and look elsewhere, per Mundo Deportivo .

It's previously been claimed that Kimmich would only be interested in moving to Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool, Manchester City or Arsenal. One of the five now appears to have dropped out.

Xavi was the one most keen on signing Kimmich, and he has now left Barcelona. The club prefers Mikel Merino or Amadou Onana in the holding midfield role.

Liverpool.com says: The path is clearing for Kimmich if Liverpool is interested. Bayern is open to a sale, the player is happy to move on, and now Barcelona has opted out of pursuing a deal.

But it's unclear whether a transfer would be smart business for Liverpool. Kimmich is 29 and on high wages, and the Reds would not want another Thiago situation.
