    Top Palm Beach County professionals, business people on the move for the week of June 30

    In our weekly list of business people on the move, we highlight Palm Beach County professionals who are making a difference. These are people from across the spectrum of public and private endeavors, those working in charities, court houses, private practices and beyond. They are moving up within their industry, advancing their careers and standing out for their services within our community.

    Here are this week's professional standouts:

    Raphael Clemente to lead Quantum's new division

    Raphael Clemente, former executive director of West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority, has been appointed as the executive director of Quantum Foundation’s Palm Beach Venture Philanthropy Division. Launched last year, the Venture Philanthropy Division is an initiative focused on developing solutions and raising capital to complete projects such as neighborhood grocery stores, community-based childcare centers, mixed-income housing, healthcare centers, and other transformative efforts to improve the quality of life for residents in underinvested neighborhoods.

    Gunster adds attorney specializing in labor

    Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, recently added attorney Mark Fereg to its West Palm Beach office. Fereg, now a member of the firm’s labor & employment law practice, represents employers facing legal challenges in the workplace. He earned his J.D. from Samford University and B.S. from Liberty University.

    MorseLife facility names business development director

    MorseLife Hospice and Palliative Care has named Dominique McDonald, of Lake Worth Beach, as business development director. McDonald will be responsible for fostering relations that leverage both internal and external resources to promote and maintain the best interests and mission of hospice with healthcare organizations, professionals and community groups. McDonald comes to MorseLife with nearly 25 years of healthcare experience with a focus on seniors, including 16 years dedicated to hospice. Most recently, she served as director of concierge with Liberty HealthCare.

    Palm Beach Gardens medical firm appoints interim CFO

    Accelus, a privately held medical technology company committed to becoming the global market leader in expandable spinal implant technologies, recently announced the appointment of Greg Tibbitts as the company's interim chief financial officer. Tibbitts will leverage his financial expertise and leadership experience to guide Accelus through its next phase of growth and innovation in the minimally invasive spine surgery market. Palm Beach Gardens-based Accelus, a worldwide leader in expandable spinal implant technology, is dedicated toenhancing surgical procedures and patient outcomes through innovative spinal solutions.

    Boca-based retirement community adds executive chef to roster

    Todd Kalskstein recently joined Toby & Leon Cooperman Sinai Residences in Boca Raton as executive chef. Sinai Residences is a not-for-profit continuing care retirement community located on the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County campus. Kalkstein will lead the training and modification of batch cooking, focus further attention on the role of the expeditor, deliver expositions, chef demos, new menus items, and more at Sinai Residences.

    Boca group appoints president, installs board of directors

    The Junior League of Boca Raton has appointed Nicole Stelzer as its new president for the 2024-2025 season. It also announced a new board of directors. The new leadership team was introduced on May 14 with a term that started June 1. Stelzer was preceded by Meghan Shea who served as president for the past year. Board members for 2024-25 are Pattie Goldenberg, sustaining advisor; Samantha Vassallo, advisor to the board; Barbara Sageman, assistant to the board; Michelle Coggiola, VP of finance; Valentina Moretti, VP of community; Gwenn Feliciano, VP of communications; Debbie Abrams, VP of fundraising; Alex Welsh, VP of membership; Paige Gantt, VP of strategy and planning; Amanda O’Brien, secretary; and Victoria Matthews, president elect. The Junior League's mission is focused on training volunteers, developing the potential of women and improving the South Florida community through impact areas including child welfare, hunger, and nonprofit support.

    Orthopedic center fills key leadership position with veteran nurse

    The Orthopedic Center of Palm Beach County recently announced that Kim Pacewicz, MHA, BSN, RN has joined the executive team as chief clinical & operations officer. Pacewicz brings over 30 years of healthcare & leadership experience to the Orthopedic Center. The Orthopedic Center of Palm Beach County has been a respected leader in Musculoskeletal care since 1950. Their physicians and surgeons specialize in comprehensive Orthopedic care for all ages, with offices located in Lake Worth, Boynton Beach, Boca Raton and Wellington.

    Delray-based home watch company earns accreditation again

    Shore Thing Home Watch Services has earned accreditation from the National Home Watch Association for the second year. The association was formed in 2009 in order to establish and maintain the highest industry standards for Home Watch and absentee homeowner services throughout the United States and Canada. Home Watch is a visual inspection of a home or property and “keeps an eye on things” at your vacation or primary home while you are not in residence. Owner Linda Ludwig-Tisch brings over 40 years of home ownership experience, coupled with extensive knowledge and skills in home care.
