The beaches along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea are stunning. From the glistening white sand to the crystal clear blue water, they are a must-see part of any trip to Greece. To experience the beaches, take a trip to the islands in Greece. One of my personal favorites is Crete. You can catch a quick Airbus from Athens to Chania (pronounced HAWN-Yaah). Once you are there, taxis will transport you to the harbor area. From there, you can walk around the harbor or visit the central part of the city.

Don’t be shy. Plan an adventure to Greece, and you can view a life-sized Shrek billboard from your hotel window! But you will also see lots of other great things. Most of the country is English-speaking. If you find a vendor that doesn’t speak English, find a local kid as they teach it in the schools there.
