Gabby Thomas beat Sha'Carri Richardson in the highly anticipated 200-meter final of the U.S. Olympic Team Trials for track and field. Thomas came in first with a time of 21.81 seconds. Richardson missed qualifying for the 200 meters by fractions of a second, but will still compete in the 100.

Noah Lyles cruised to the final of the 200m Paris Olympic trials Friday evening by clocking a time of 19.60. The reigning 200m world champion was so dominant that Christian Coleman finished .29 seconds behind him, and Robert Gregory was third with a time of 19.98. It was such a comfortable victory for Lyles that he surprised himself by giving a "who, me?" look at the camera when his lap time flashed on the screen.
