Wendy's has launched a cheeky dig at McDonald's with its latest promotion. The fast-food chain is marking the fifth anniversary of its Biggie Bag by throwing in a Frosty on the house. This move seems to cheekily outdo McDonald's $5 Meal Deal , which launched on June 25.

The deal began on June 20, allowing Wendy's fans to snag a free small Frosty with their Biggie Bag purchase through the Wendy's app at participating outlets nationwide. The $5 Biggie Bag, a staple since 2019, offers a choice between a Jr Bacon Cheeseburger or Crispy Chicken Sandwich, along with a 4-piece nugget, Jr. fries, and a small drink.

"Celebrate the start of summer and Biggie's five-year birthday - go BIGGIE-ER with an unbeatable deal! " exclaimed Wendy's in a press statement. The app-exclusive offer can be redeemed via mobile order or in-store at any participating Wendy's by scanning the promo code, reports TODAY.

On the flip side, McDonald's meal deal features a selection between a McChicken or McDouble, plus a four-piece chicken nuggets, fries, and a beverage. Earlier on June 12, Wendy's introduced its new Triple Berry Frosty flavor, a limited-edition offering described as a berry bonanza that melds the tastes of strawberry, blackberry, and raspberry for a summery delight.
