    A potent thunderstorm was detected by Doppler radar at 3:20 PM EDT near Oppy, approximately 12 miles east of Inez, and is moving southeast at a speed of 25 mph. The storm poses a threat with wind gusts reaching up to 40 mph and the possibility of pea-sized hail. The radar has indicated these conditions, which could lead to downed tree limbs and the scattering of unsecured items. There is also a chance of minor damage to plants due to the hail. The areas likely to be affected by the storm include Williamson, Delbarton, Holden, South Williamson, Red Jacket, Chattaroy, Mount Gay-Shamrock, Matewan, Kermit, Verdunville, Chauncey, Myrtle, Switzer, Dingess, Varney, Lenore, and Breeden.
