Fans Say Dylan Dreyer Is ‘Officially in the Boy Mom Club’ as She Reveals a Family ‘First’ With Son Rusty

Fans jokingly congratulated Today ' s Dylan Dreyer as she went through a supposed "rite of passage" for mothers of young boys. Over the weekend, the 42-year-old shared that her youngest son, Rusty , was the first to get stitches after an incident.

The mother of three shared photos from a visit to get medical care for little Rusty, who had a scrape visible on his left eyebrow. Dreyer took a couple of selfies together as they waited, with the meteorologist rocking a T-shirt that appropriately said, "Boy Mom Messy. Blessed. Life."

It looked like Rusty didn't enjoy the experience but made it through OK, with the 2-year-old rocking a big white bandage after returning home. In another picture, Dreyer also shared a small cut on her son Calvin 's chin that wasn't serious enough to need stitches, as Calvin smiled brightly. The last snap showed Rusty post-stitches with Calvin, 7, and their other brother, Oliver , 4, grinning with their arms around each other.

"3 boys and this is our first set of stitches! Never would have bet on Rusty to be the first," Dreyer captioned the Instagram post. "Then on to making gluten free hamburger rolls after sopping up Calvin’s cut chin with my tshirt. Boy mom indeed!!"

"Oh, Dylan!! You are officially in the Boy Mom Club!!" one fan welcomed her, as someone else declared, "Being a boy mom is not for the weak but there is nothing better! Hope he heals quickly! You’re an amazing mama. 🩵."

Many fans who are also parents to little boys warned Dreyer that this probably won't be the last time something like this happens, with comments like, "One of many trips to the ER!! That’s a boy’s mom!! Enjoy every minute👍," and "…..it’s only just begun, sorry Dylan."

Dreyer shares her three young sons with her husband, Brian Fichera , and she often posts relatable family moments like this on social media.
