  • A man who was caught on camera kicking in the front door to a hotel got a dose of instant karma within seconds of him carrying out the act of vandalism.

Video posted on social media saw the man attempting to get inside the lobby of a Marriott hotel by him punching the glass door, shattering one of the panes instantly.

To break his way inside, he then continues to repeatedly kick the glass door, almost knocking it from its hinges.

However, he immediately soon came to regret the incident when a nearby police officer got involved.

Footage shows the man first standing at the door, breaking his way inside but once he reaches the front desk, he appears to act as if nothing had happened.

It's not long before maintenance workers, security and police are on the scene, and as the man fails to comply with his instructions, the situation grows tense.

The officer pulls out a pair of handcuffs while the man is standing at the reception desk of the hotel.

Towering over the police officer, he could be heard protesting saying repeatedly 'I am a citizen'.

The man refused to offer his hands to be placed in cuffs but the officer appears to have heard enough.

Catching the man off-guard, he abruptly punches the man in the jaw, knocking him off balance.

The man was then placed in handcuffs following his arrest

The officer is then able to wrestle the man to the ground, placing a knee on the man’s head while grabbing his wrists in order to finally place them in handcuffs and arrest him.

Those commenting online were impressed with the say the police officer handled himself.

'That's one tough little cop. Well done,' wrote one.

'Cop has some nice moves!', agreed a second.

'Lol bro really thought he wasn’t gonna go to jail after kicking that door in,' chimed in another user.

CCTV footage shows Jason Williams running behind the suspect and banging their head with a massive heavyweight frying pan at around 3.30pm yesterday

It is the latest video showcasing an example of instant karma.

Last week, a Chicago homeowner was seen chasing and fighting off a would-be burglar around his neighborhood wielding a frying pan as a weapon.

Surveillance footage shows Jason Williams running behind the suspect and banging smashing their head with the kitchen utensil.

Williams was minutes away from getting home from work when he received an alert from his alarm system that someone had broken in.

'Came in the house, I looked if there was an available weapon... there was a frying pan laying there, so I grabbed the frying pan and at the same time the burglar came downstairs.

'At this point, it was fight or flight, and I would rather do the fighting,' Williams told ABC .

'At this point, it was fight or flight, and I would rather do the fighting,' Williams said in an interview

Video shows the brave owner chasing the suspect while waving the frying pan in the air on his lawn.

'Get out of here, I'm gonna kill you,' Williams can be heard yelling as the intruder runs for their life.

In a scene straight from a TV cartoon, Williams ultimately ends up taking a satisfying swing at the suspect and leaving them completely shaken up as cops arrived at the scene.

The intruder is seen trying to race across the street after the painful blow before eventually gives up and is handcuffed by police.
