Cowboys' Micah Parson fires back at teammate for uncalled-for criticism

Micah Parsons has some beef he wants to settle with Dallas Cowboys teammate Malik Hooker.

During a recent appearance on Keyshawn Johnson’s “All Facts No Brakes” podcast, Hooker called out Parsons for spending too much time on his own podcast during the season.

“My advice for Micah would be just make sure we’re alright,” Hooker said. “Because if we’re at work and and the run game’s terrible but you’re doing a podcast every week and you know the run game is terrible then what are you really caring about? Are you caring about the crowd that was watching the podcast or are you caring about the success of our team and the Super Bowl that we’re trying to reach?”

Parsons didn't hold back firing back his own shots at Hooker in a reply to the clip on X/Twitter, but soon deleted it:

Just wish you said this to me but instead on some podcast! And you got my number family! @MalikHooker24 and you my locker mate! So you coulda said this any day! And you do realize I shoot the podcast on our off day! I why ain’t we talking about everyone preparations and focus leading up to the game week? I mean I can point out a lot of other things but I’m just not!”

Parsons isn't the only successful NFL player who hosts a weekly podcast on their day off. The Kelce brothers have one of the most listened and viewed podcasts in the nation and it doesn't appear to be a distraction for them.

It also doesn't seem to be much of a distraction for Parsons, who is expected to sign a massive contract extension in the near future.

Players hosting their own podcasts is a great way for fans to stay involved and keep up with the team from an inside source that's way outside of the mainstream media.

Maybe Hooker should consider hopping on Parson's podcast and discussing the issue he has with it instead of throwing his teammate under the bus on someone else's podcast.

Just a thought.

But in all seriousness, let's hope this beef and the Cowboys' run defense is patched up before they take the field in Week 1.
