Tyla wore a vibrant animal print dress by Versace on June 30 for the 2024 BET Awards, complete with unique cheetah-print heels.
Tyle wore a black halter dress in a satin-like fabric; it was fitted to her body and then flared into a flowing skirt at the waist. The rhinestone-adorned dress included a waist-high slit on the left side and cutouts on the upper portion. The skirt included a train crafted of a thinner fabric; this material featured a yellow animal print design reminiscent of tiger stripes.
The South African artist wore her hair in braids styled away from her face, allowing a pair of glittering earrings to be seen.
Keeping with the jungle theme, Tyla opted for a distinctive pair of matching heels. They included a yellow sole with a cheetah print pattern, providing a vibrant base to the outfit and aligning with the color scheme established by the dress. The detailed sandals also included a transparent strap beneath the toes as well as a black strap over the big toe and another neutral-colored one over the second toe. Two bedazzled straps looped around her ankles. The open-concept shoes otherwise left her feet bare on the front and sides.
Tyla recently made a bold fashion statement when she performed in a pair of patchwork camouflage boots at a Spotify-hosted event that took place during Cannes Lions. The textured shoes included a pointed toe and stiletto heel while the fabric picked up her camouflage miniskirt.
In addition to performing at the 2024 BET Awards, the up-and-coming singer is up for four awards tonight, including best international act, best new artist, best female R&B/pop artist and viewer’s choice.
The BET Awards celebrate achievements in entertainment, honoring excellence in music, sports, television and movies. Taraji P. Henson hosted the 2024 event, which featured performances by Ice Spice, Tyla, GloRilla, Latto, Muni Long, Sexyy Red, Shaboozey, Victoria Monét and more.
