    Power restored after roughly 18K customers experienced outage in Davis County

    UPDATE 6/30 9:26 p.m. — While initial estimates indicated the outage may not be restored until 6:30 a.m. on Monday morning, customers regained power on Sunday night.

    As of about 9:30 p.m., the outage map on the Rocky Mountain Power website showed that just over 100 customers were experiencing outages in the area as opposed to the nearly 18,000 customers who were without power earlier in the evening.

    ORIGINAL STORY: Roughly 18K customers without power in Davis County, power expected to be out until morning

    DAVIS COUNTY, Utah ( ABC4 ) — Roughly 18,000 customers of Rocky Mountain Power were left without power on Sunday night, and the company said power was not expected to return until Monday morning.

    The power company took to social media to inform customers that they were aware of the outage, and said customers in Clearfield, Syracuse, and West Point were affected by the power outage.

    “The cause of the outage is under investigation and the estimated time of restoration is 6:30 AM,” Rocky Mountain Power said in the post.

    In its social media post, Rocky Mountian Power said 18,900 customers were being affected by the outage. However, according to the outage map on the Rocky Mountain Power website , the number of affected customers was about 17,900.

    If you would like to receive more updates and information about the outage, text “OUT” to 759677. If you text “STAT” to that number, you can receive updates on the status of the outage, according to the company .

    Alternatively, the company said customers can visit Rocky Mountain Power’s website for updates on the outage in Davis County.

    Officials did not immediately release information about what caused the power outage, but said the cause was under investigation.

      • Have one gallon per person, per day
    • Non-perishable food
      • For both people and pets
    • First aid kit and essential medications
    • Copies of important family documents
    • Cash
    • Blankets
