    Where to see Fourth of July fireworks shows in Kern County

    BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Fourth of July is right around the corner and there are plenty of ways to celebrate this year in Kern County.

    Below are events you can attend in Kern County.

    Tehachapi All-American 4th of July Festival

    The City of Tehachapi will once again host its All-American Fourth of July Festival on Thursday, July 4.

    The festival will last all day kicking off with a 5K race, followed by the Ed Grimes Memorial Pancake Breakfast, food stands, games, live music, craft vendors, beer garden, and much more, as stated by organizers.

    The main show, the Fireworks Spectacular, will take place at the Tehachapi Municipal Airport at 9 p.m.

    The Park at River Walk 4th July Fireworks

    The Fourth of July party in Bakersfield will feature music by DJ Pantamime at the Dignity Health Amphitheater starting at 6 p.m. before the fireworks show, according to city officials.

    You can expect to find food vendors and a beer garden. Some of the food vendors include: Carney Kettle Corn, EL Churro Loco, Itoyz, and Poppi’s Pastrami.

    With the large celebration, comes some road closures in the surrounding area. You can read about the road closures near the park here.

    Star Spangled Spectacular in Delano

    On July 2, Delano is hosting a Star Spangled Spectacular Fireworks Show and Community Family Fun Day. The Kiwanis Club of Delano is hosting the event, which includes a car show, food vendors, music and fun for the entire family.

    A firework show will begin at dusk, according to organizers. The event will be held from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., at Memorial Park.

    3rd of July Shafter Fireworks Celebration

    On July 3, The Shafter Chamber of Commerce will host the annual 3rd of July Fireworks Show at Shafter High School’s recreation field. Gates open at 6 p.m. for those looking for fireworks, food, music and a 50/50 raffle.

    The event, hosted by the Shafter Chamber of Commerce, is a tradition families have enjoyed for years. Everyone is welcome and no alcohol or BBQ’s are allowed into the event, according to organizers.

    Lake Isabella Fireworks Extravaganza

    On July 6, the Independence Day Fireworks Extravaganza in Lake Isabella begins just after dark, according to organizers. The fireworks will be launched from Engineer’s Point.

    The event, sponsored by local merchants and community members, is an annual tradition in the Kern River Valley, organizers said.
