Wonderland tells different stories of people in love and the mode of communication with their lost loved ones, who are no longer present in the physical world. It is a simulated universe that uses artificial intelligence to allow individuals to connect with the departed. This universe is a perfect escape for people looking to reconnect with the ones they love.
One of the stories is that of a young couple, Jeong-In (Bae Suzy) and Tae-Joo ( Park Bo-Gum ). After their lives turn upside down when Tae-Joo falls into a coma, Jeong-In turns to Wonderland to interact with Tae-Joo. Meanwhile, a man in his 40s seeks a reunion with his late wife, Bai Li (Tang-Wei). Hae-Ri (Jung Yu-Mi) and Hyun-Soo (Choi Woo-Shik) oversee and control the universe, giving these heartbroken individuals a bittersweet experience. The movie also stars Gong Yoo , who plays an AI service within Wonderland.
