Prabhas’ latest movie, the sci-fi mythological action drama Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin, has achieved phenomenal success with its worldwide box-office collection just 4 days after its release. Released on June 27, 2024, the film has already earned an estimated $65.9 million globally. Kalki 2898 AD grossed $65.9 million worldwide by the end of its first weekend, marking a phenomenal run at the box office. This record-breaking performance also saw the film enter the $35 million net club in India. With positive reviews from all quarters, Kalki 2898 AD is expected to earn over $95 million in its lifetime, according to trade experts.

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala confirmed on X (formerly Twitter): “At the end of 4-day weekend, #Kalki2898AD has grossed around ₹ 550 Crs at the WW Box office.” This recent feat includes a historic milestone in North America, where the film became the first Indian movie to gross $11 million in its first weekend.

Furthermore, according to Sacnilk, the film’s performance in India has been remarkable across different languages. On its opening day, Kalki 2898 AD earned $11 million net. This was followed by $6.9 million on Friday, $7.7 million on Saturday, and $10.1 million on Sunday. All in all, bringing the total to $36.2 million net in India by day 4. The Telugu version contributed significantly, with $19.3 million. Meanwhile, the Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada versions also added substantial amounts to the total collection.

Kalki 2898 AD blends science fiction with Indian mythology. The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan, alongside Prabhas.
