Posting a series of sweet, smiling photos with the singer, whose real name was Seth Brooks Binzer, Frye shared a touching caption, revealing that she and Shellshock have known each other since they were kids.
"My heart is whispering a million I love you’s for the way you loved my children and I so unconditionally," Frye began her post. "I can still see your smiling sweet face in middle school when you kissed me in your tunnel of love and the way you swept me away again as we grew up to show me what that timeless kind of love feels like."
She went on to write, "No words could ever express the love we shared or how we are feeling right now. It is a language all its own. So for now I will use every bit of strength you showed me to hold on to those words you asked me in your beautiful morning gravilly voice on the beach while covering me with kisses."
Saying she believes she will see Shellshock again one day, Frye concluded her post, writing, "I love you forever and always. Your Moonfire xx."
Frye was previously married to Jason Goldberg from 1998 to 2022, and the exes share daughters Poet, 18, and Jagger, 16, and sons Lyric, 10, and Story, 8.
Frye and Shellshock were first reported to be dating in late 2021. She last posted a photo with Shellshock in April 2022. It's unclear when the two split. In November 2022, Frye told ET that she was focusing on herself.
"I'm dating myself. It's awesome," she told ET at the time . "Here's what I've been doing lately, which is really beautiful. I have been taking myself on dates and doing self-love. That has been really where I've been at, which is amazing."
Shellshock's family released a statement to The Sun over the weekend , saying, "Seth struggled with addiction throughout his life, he did so on a very public platform which was particularly challenging. God knows he tried so hard to beat his demons but sadly he lost his battle. Ourheartsare shattered by his loss. Seth's larger-than-life presence touched so many. Seth was a troubled soul but he was a beautiful one and he had a heart of gold."
Shellshock and Crazy Town gained fame for their chart-topping hit, "Butterfly," which soared to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 in 2001 and became an anthem of the early 2000s.

Crazy Town formed in Los Angeles in 1995 and quickly gained a following with their blend of rock, hip-hop, and electronic music. "Butterfly," a track from their debut album, The Gift of Game , became a breakout hit, and was featured in the 2002 film, Orange County , starring Jack Black and Colin Hanks.
Despite their initial success, Crazy Town faced challenges, including lineup changes and Shellshock's struggles with substance abuse. The band released several more albums, but none achieved the same success as their debut. In 2008, Shellshock appeared on Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew , where he openly discussed his battle with drugs.
The musician is survived by his three sons,Halo, Gage and Phoenix.
