For the fourth week, moviegoers flocked to theaters thanks to Pixar’s unstoppable Inside Out 2 and Paramount’s A Quiet Place: Day One.

The animated sequel remained king, grossing $57.4 million in its third weekend to raise its domestic total to a massive $469.3M. Domestically, Inside Out 2 now ranks as Pixar’s third-highest-grossing picture, behind only Finding Dory ($486.3M) and Incredibles 2 ($608.6M). Worldwide, its $1.014B haul ranks fifth behind Dory ($1.025B), Toy Story 3 ($1.068B), Toy Story 4 ($1.072B) and Incredibles 2 ($1.242B). Will Inside Out 2 catch Incredibles 2?

Elsewhere, A Quiet Place: Day One enjoyed big box office business, earning $53M in its domestic debut and $98.5M globally. Domestically, that’s a franchise record, narrowly outpacing the $50M earned by A Quiet Place and the $47M collected by A Quiet Place: Part II. Audiences awarded the pic a B+ CinemaScore. Imax repped $5.8M for the prequel.

Sadly, Kevin Costner’s Horizon didn’t gallop into the sunset. The pricey western managed just $11M in its debut against a $100M budget. Audiences weren’t enthusiastic, slapping the 3-hour pic with a B-. The second part of this epic saga rides into theaters next month.

This week sees the release of Despicable Me 4, which is already performing well abroad and is expected to earn $100M over the July 4 holiday.
