Producer Ashwini Dutt Gives Update on Kalki 2898 AD Part 2 Release Date

Ahead of Kalki 2898 AD’s theatrical release, Prabhas and director Nag Ashwin went live on Instagram to engage with the audience. During the live session, the actor hinted at a potential sequel. Pointing to Nag Ashwin, he said, “You have part 2. Take 10 days and start writing.” This statement has further fueled curiosity about the release date of Kalki 2898 AD part 2.

Recently, producer Ashwini Dutt revealed that more than half the work on Kalki 2898 AD part 2 has been completed. He stated , “60 percent of the filming for Kalki 2898 AD part 2 has already been completed. While a significant portion of the movie has been shot, there are still some major scenes pending. The release date for the movie will be announced once the remaining filming is finished.”

With 60 percent of the sequel already completed, expectations are high that the filmmakers will announce its release date soon after the filming concludes. Additionally, the film’s ending hinted at a more prominent role for Kamal Haasan’s character in the sequel.

Confirming this, Kamal Haasan said , “In Kalki, I played a smaller part that appears for just a few minutes. My true involvement in the film is just beginning, and I’ll have a much larger role in the second part. So, I watched this film as a fan, and I was astonished.”

With a star-studded cast including Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Deepika Padukone in the lead, the film continues to captivate the audience and break box office records.
