Kathy Hilton Excited About Simple Life Reboot With ‘Dynamic Duo’ Paris and Nicole Richie

Long, long ago, in random small towns across rural America, Kathy Hilton’s daughter, aka Paris Hilton , and her equally affluent bestie Nicole Richie once thrived. Their series, The Simple Life , was exactly that. This show took two privileged women out of their mansions and threw them into other people’s much more modest homes. Within these dwellings, these two took on various jobs, in all different sectors, and the end results were always a riot.

Paris and Nicole tried calling in sick, over it, and rich, and no one ever really got mad. Instead, their new townsfolk laughed alongside them, helping them to finish their assigned tasks. Genuine friendships formed, and it was fun to watch. And now, thankfully, a reboot of The Simple Life is in the works, and Kathy is excited, and by Kathy, I also mean myself.

Paris and Nicole are “sliving” once again

Paris and Nicole are reuniting, and as a mother, Kathy can’t help but reflect back on this longstanding friendship of her daughters. “You know what is great is when they get back together. It’s like they’re still 12 years old,” Kathy joked to Us Weekly. When these two kid-like friends first signed up for The Simple Life, however, Kathy wasn’t as excited.

“For the first show, I sat them both down on the bed. I didn’t know where they were going. I was not for this at all … and I was wrong. It was the funniest show,” she correctly explained. Kathy also labeled Paris as “iconic,” noting that The Simple Life “was without swearing, without fighting [and] it was really cute and fun and just silly.”

As for what this reboot might now bring, Kathy reveals that “it’s going to be exciting,” since “The two of them are a dynamic duo.” Paris also has a few things to say, gushing “We have been best friends since we were two years old. So many of my best and most fun memories are with her [Nicole]. What we created together is so special and this is just going to be so iconic. I am so excited to do this for all the fans.”

Overall. “This is going to be a reunion show about our friendship,” Paris further explains. Clearly, Paris is excited about this Simple Life reboot, as is her mother Kathy, and likely also Nicole as well. Bring it, ladies, because we need the laughs a lot right now.

Paris and Nicole’s reboot is expected to drop sometime this year on Peacock. Until then, the original Simple Life series is available to purchase on Prime Video.
