Hunter Comes Face To Face With Mama Bear After Her Cub Invades His Tree Stand

This is one of those "watch to the end" videos, and I'm not just saying that to get clicks like some people do. Often times, hunting can be a very relaxing activity. Being one with nature and going undetected in the great outdoors can bring a lot of joy to some people. However, it's because of videos like these that a large population won't ever find hunting to be worth it. That's due to the always possible, outside chance that as you are hunting, you could be hunted . It doesn't happen all that often, though when it does - and it's documented - it proves to be one of the more terrifying things a human can experience. Now to be clear, bears just don't go around and terrorize people all the time (try telling that to the city of Gatlinburg recently). Usually something has to provoke it, or something has to have happened previously - like being fed by a human - for a bear to approach a human being. In this case, this sow's young bear cub just so happened to climb up into the same tree that a hunter's tree stand was set up in. The cub was up in the stand while the hunter was sitting under the tree, on the ground... thus making them stuck between a mother bear and a hard place (A.K.A. her offspring). Unfortunately, the mother bear had to investigate. At first, the encounter was much like a Disney movie. The wild animal was calm, curious, and careful around the hunter. The person had their camera rolling, capturing all of the investigative sniffs that the sow took as it was right at eye level with the hunter. Things looked to be rather copacetic initially... but then the bear decided to act like a wild animal, growling and swinging at the hunter on the ground. It's an absolutely wild encounter, and luckily, it appears that the hunter escaped without injury.
