Carl Cowan Park near Northshore Drive in west Knox County is temporarily closed because of a water leak and pump issues.

A huge amount of water leaked out of the splashpad's tank over a two-day period, forcing officials to close the whole park for repairs.

Jason Halliburton, Knox County park maintenance director, said the fix is a priority and crews hope to reopen the facilities July 4.

The park, which is next to Admiral Farragut Park, features a splashpad; paddling and fishing opportunities; sports fields and courts; playgrounds and trails.
