Golden Retriever Puppy Enjoys Her First-Ever Pool Day and Is a Total Natural

Now that summer is here, it's time to start hanging out at the pool — and if you're lucky enough to have one in your own backyard, you're probably the envy of all of your friend around this time of year. And if your dog gets to hang out by the pool, too, there's no doubt that they're the envy of the other dogs in the neighborhood. While some dogs are most certainly a bit skeptical (and maybe even fearful) when it comes to water, plenty of them really, really love it.

But for that reason, the first pool day you spend with your puppy can be a toss up... unless they're a complete natural like the dog in this TikTok video is!

On Monday, June 24, @ashleyliacko shared this adorable video of her Golden Retriever puppy — who is named after the children's book character Junie B. Jones — getting to play in the pool for the first time.

"I think Junie had the best day of her life yesterday," Junie's mom wrote in the caption. "Safe to say she's a water dog!"

Uh, I'd definitely say so — she jumped into that pool with zero hesitation, paddling away immediately. She looked perfectly content in the water, like she was meant to be there! She was probably so happy to cool off on a hot day, especially since all of her people were in the pool ready to play with her too.

And when it came time for her to get out, she was wrapped up in a towel and fell asleep in a lounge chair. Now that is the perfect pool day.

Junie B. Jones' Story

This little pup is still very new to her family — they only adopted her a few weeks ago!

She was a surprise for the OP's fiancé , since a Golden Retriever had always been his dream dog. So Junie got all dressed up with a pink bow (because she is a true gift, both figuratively and literally), and the moment he walked in to see his future wife sitting on the couch, holding her? Priceless!

It seemed to take less than a minute for Junie to love her dad, and she might be the newest member of the family, but watching the videos on their TikTok account, it feels like she's been there all along. She just fit right in.

These two are already in love, as you can see in this video, so it seems like this was a perfect match. I can't wait to see more videos of Junie and her adventures. She's too cute!
