Golden Retriever's Attachment to Cheese Wrapper Is an Emotional Support Win

Dogs love cheese. There's just something about cheese that will always get a dog so excited it's hard to contain, and that's hilarious. There's nothing we can do to get between a dog and their cheese!

On Sunday, June 30th, one Golden Retriever took this a little more seriously than normal. Apparently, he loves cheese so much that he's willing to use a cheese package as his favorite toy. It doesn't even squeak, but he loves it anyway:

Captain the Golden needs a partnership with Sargento as soon as possible. He's dedicated to their product!

Captain is the sweetest senior Golden Retriever in the world, and he loves cheese . He's spent his whole life eating it, and when you spend your whole life doing something, you start to memorize packaging. Odds are, Captain knows exactly what that wrapper meant and made off with it! His brother, Player, also likes cheese, but not enough to steal the whole package!

Did mom forget to pay her cheese tax? As we know, failure to pay your cheese tax will result in the revocation of the cheese. If the dog manages to eat all of it when they steal it from you, that is your fault. Should've paid your taxes!

How to Safely Get Things Away From Dogs

Sometimes, your dog will decide that the weirdest object is exactly the one they need to have, and you'll have an incredibly hard time getting it away from them. In Captain's case, he took a cheese package: it smells like cheese and either has cheese in it or at least contains cheese residue that he could lick up. No wonder he stole it!

If you're ever in a position where you have to wrestle a weird object away from a determined pup, you should:

    1. Ask them to drop it.
    2. If they don't, tell them to sit.
    3. If that also doesn't work, corner them in a room and shut the door.
    4. From there, you can offer them some alternatives; a snack, a new toy, going for a walk, etc.,.
    5. Some dogs are really stubborn, and you need to be careful not to hurt them. Don't yank: gently pry the object out of their mouth while calmly telling them to drop it.

After you get their new favorite "toy" from them, you should inspect their mouths; hard objects may have cracked or broken their teeth. If needed, you can r inse their mouth out with water. Captain is all good, though; his wrapper won't hurt him!
