‘A Brain Fart Within Three Minutes!’ Stephen A. Smith Shreds Biden for Poor Performance in Debate Against Trump
By Ahmad Austin Jr.,
Stephen A. Smith argued the Democrats should be “ashamed of themselves” following President Joe Biden’s poor performance in his debate against Donald Trump.
Biden’s showing at last Thursday’s debate was widely panned. The president often spoke unintelligibly and even appeared to lose to his train of thought and simply freeze at one point. As a result, the conversation about his age and fitness to be President of the United States gained even more momentum.
The next day on The Stephen A. Smith Show, Smith called out the Democrats for making Biden their candidate even before his current term.
“It’s a national disgrace that since 2016, you didn’t have enough of a bullpen and you left folks to depend on Joe Biden. It’s an absolute, utter disgrace that he was on that stage last night. Maybe he can sit behind the desk in the Oval Office and he’s still sharp enough to make decision; but clearly in a live format, with no delays and no insulation whatsoever, where you stand out there on your own, mano a mano versus a Donald Trump — who, if nothing else, was sharp,” Smith fumed on Friday, adding:
I’m not saying he was telling the truth. I’m not saying that he was substantive in everything that he came out of his mouth and was honest and factual and all of that stuff, because we know that is never the case with Donald Trump. The bottom line is he appeared to be pretty sharp, lucid, aware, quick on his feet, etc.
