THON 2025 has kicked off its fundraising window, which started on Monday, with its “Ignite the Fight” campaign, the organization announced. The 46-hour dance marathon announced several promotions to kick off fundraising in July as all money raised between July 1 and THON 2025 will count toward this year’s event.

“Coming off a record-high, where THON raised more than $16.9 million dollars last year for its sole
beneficiary Four Diamonds, the ‘Ignite The Fight’ campaign celebrates the start of its fundraising year
and the THON community’s yearlong efforts in the fight against childhood cancer,” the organization wrote in a press release.

To kick off the events, THON encourages folks to follow its most recent Instagram post and engage with it to be entered into a lottery to win crediting funds.

From Tuesday, July 2, to Friday, July 12, anyone who downloads the DonorDrive app will also be entered into a lottery to win crediting funds. In the 2024-25 fundraising cycle, alumni will also be able to fundraise using the app and can register as an “Organization Alumni” participant on their DonorDrive page.

THON will celebrate matching day on Thursday, July 11, when starting at 10 a.m., every third donation will be matched up to $100 until funds run out. Starting at 6 p.m., every other student donation will be matched up to $10 until funds run out.

From Monday, July 15, to Monday, July 22, THON will have an “Alternative Fundraiser Challenge,” when folks can register their Summer Alternative Fundraiser on THINK on or before July 15 for the chance to win crediting funds. Five winners will be awarded $100.

Lastly, THON will provide a recap of all “Ignite the Fight” action on its Instagram page on Monday, July 29.

THON 2025 will run from Friday, February 21, to Sunday, February 23. Last year, the organization broke its previous fundraising record by bringing in $16,955,683.63 to support Four Diamonds at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital.
