There are a handful of materials that can be used to build raised garden beds. Dimensional lumber is by far one of the most popular choices, it looks great but it is expensive and the boards rot out quickly. Some people prefer to use metal roof panels for their beds as the metal lasts a really long time, it's convenient but also extremely costly.

One of the cheapest methods you can use for long-lasting garden beds is by building them with cinder blocks, you simply mortar between them to reinforce them and can make the bed as big or small as you want using more or less cinder blocks. This method is great and all but the look definitely is not the prettiest. One genius gardener and homeowner thought up a quick solution for making cinder block garden beds, which have a stronger curb appeal; stucco, check it out below!

The Plaster is a loved item in the DIY world here at DenGarden, we have seen it utilized in the most unique ways from covering a wooden coffee table with it , to making stunning expensive-looking wall art , and one woman even covered an entire thrifted lamp with it.

The woman's elevated cinderblock garden turned out beautiful after she coated it with stucco Her cinderblock garden bed is made off of her brick house, with the brick wall of the house acting as the back of the garden bed, which she built off of it. After stacking her cinder block level and using half block caps on the top, the woman then used a putty knife to spread the plaster all over the cinder blocks, covering every inch and smoothing it out at the end.

    How to Landscape with Pavers

Pavers are one of the most commonly used items in landscape design. Their thin yet strong build makes them ideal for many different applications around your yard. Typically during spring many stores, such as Home Depot have major sales on yard pavers, making now the perfect time of year for planning out how to use pavers in your own landscaping project.

Pavers make great walkways. Think of cobble stepping stones but with a more precise clean look, fitting for

HOA yards and those that fancy a tidy yard. Placing pavers as a walkway dedicates a set path and keeps visitors off your fresh lawns and evolving flower beds.

Garden bed borders are another great use for pavers, as we saw in the video above. They are strong enough to keep dirt and mulch in place, yet delicate enough to now draw your eyes away from the plants growing within.
