    Nationwide recall: Diamond Shruumz edibles linked to seizures, nausea, abnormal heart rate

    The investigation was conducted by the FDA, CDC with America’s Poison Centers and state and local partners.

    Prophet Premium Blends, the company that represents Diamond Shruumz, announced the recall of Shruumz Infused Cones, Chocolate Bars and Gummies (Micro- and Mega/Extreme-Dose) on June 27.

    According to reports, the affected products may contain muscimol, a chemical found in mushrooms of the genus Amanita, according to an FDA press release.

    New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York, along with 17 other states, are involved in the recall.

    Consumers have reported the following symptoms:

    • seizures
    • agitation
    • involuntary muscle contractions
    • loss of consciousness
    • confusion
    • sleepiness
    • nausea
    • vomiting
    • abnormal heart rates
    • hyper/hypotension

    The Diamond Shruumz products were distributed nationwide through its website.

    The FDA implored consumers that bought Diamond Shruumz products to stop using them immediately and destroy the product.
