On June 21, 2024, the Facebook page SpaceX Fanclub posted a meme claiming television host Jay Leno signed a multi-million dollar deal with CBS in late June 2024 for a "non-woke" late night show.

"It's gonna be epic, can't wait," SpaceX Fanclub commented on the post.

Similar posts appeared elsewhere on Facebook in June 2024 .

People replying to SpaceX Fanclub's image appeared to believe the claim, with one saying: "Awesome, hope it is true. All the late nite shows are full of woke idiots, not worth watching, unless you live in the basement at moms!"

Another user wrote: "I think I will stay awake for this!"

However, the TV host's CBS deal was not real. The post came from SpaceX Fanclub, a Facebook page that described its content as satirical in nature, as follows:

We post SATIRE, nothing on this page is real.

The caption on SpaceX Fanclub's Leno post even read: "Let's go Jay - Satire."

The meme also contained a "Rated Satire" badge in the top-left corner.
