When you're a new mom, keeping up with self-care can definitely be a bit of a challenge. Some days (maybe most days), you're lucky if you can manage to squeeze in a shower or change into clean clothes. But it's so important to keep up with the habits that make us feel good about ourselves...which is just one reason moms of newborns need all the help they can get!

In a video posted on June 30, a mother has to bring her baby daughter to her nail appointment — and the little girl isn't exactly happy about the situation. Luckily, the owner of the nail salon is determined to let the mom get her manicure!

"Stacy got no time for a crying baby in her salon," wrote Rylee Nicole Scott . That nail salon owner deserves a round of applause! If only everybody was so willing to help out mothers in need. Commenters loved watching this show of support from one woman to another.

"Listen, it takes a village girl!" wrote Chrissy.

"Auntie said not on my watch," wrote ZombieLuvDoll.

    "That's the salon's baby now," wrote ellie_amhain.

"She said you deserve this," wrote Rebecca Truitt.

This is exactly how the world should work! The mom in this video will never forget the salon owner's kind gesture. Moments like this one go a long way in helping new mothers stay sane. In fact, research has even shown that manicures have psychological benefits (whether you have a baby or not).

How Manicures Can Help to Boost Your Mental Health

As Yahoo! reported, a "study in Frontiers in Psychology finds that nail care can help you feel relaxed and experience good vibes while boosting your overall well-being."

The study involved "500 Japanese women ranging in age from their early 20s to late 30s. They all lived in cities. The researchers asked where they got their nails done —home or in a salon — if at all. The participants were also asked about the emotions they felt while having manicures. People who got their nails done in a salon were asked about the extent that they chatted with others during their manicures. Respondents said they felt relaxed and experienced positive emotions during manicure sessions . Those who went to professionals had more positive emotions and relaxed moods compared to those taking care of their nails at home, showing that the connection to others can make a manicure mentally beneficial."

Maybe nail salons should start offering childcare! Either way, this is all the excuse you need to book a manicure appointment asap.
