Frenchie Gets Treat Better Than a Pup Cup Visiting the Raising Cane’s Drive-Thru

There are two ways to think about being a dog. On the one hand, you’re unable to make choices for yourself. You must get up when the humans decide to take you outside, and you can’t eat until your food has been provided.

On the other hand, you don’t have to go to work, make important decisions, or worry about paying the rent. Not to mention, our modern-day dogs get to take unlimited rides in the car and get spoiled wherever we go. And it’s not just pup-ups they’re able to enjoy these days.

Check out this video from June 14 to see why it’s not so bad being a dog.

Even though I may have to give up my free will, being a dog looks pretty good, especially when you’re as cute as Kingston (@ rufflifeofafrenchiemom ) and can score free chicken tenders at the Raising Cane’s drive-thru. Even though his mom may not have expected him to get an entire tender handed to him, he didn’t hesitate to dig right in! He grabbed that golden piece of goodness cheerfully and headed right over to the passenger seat to get started. It was definitely a good day to be a pup!

Restaurants Offering Drive-Thru Treats for Dogs

    1. Starbucks and Dunkin’ Donuts - Both chains offer cups of whipped cream for dogs who are joining their parents for a cup of coffee. If you ask, Dunkin’ will often provide a munchkin for pups to enjoy as well.

    2. Culver’s —if you love frozen custard, chances are your dog will, too. While most locations have dog biscuits , some even offer a complimentary scoop of ice cream with a bone on top. I know my store does, and my dogs always know where we are when we pull into the parking lot.

    3. Dairy Queen -Most locations offer a complimentary cup of ice cream for dogs with a purchase. However, these chains are independently owned, so some may charge a fee.

    4. Chick-fil-A -This chicken chain often provides dogs a biscuit at the drive-thru window when asked.

    5. Sonic -This cup of whipped cream, known as the Wag Cup, can be ordered through the app under ice cream and sundaes.

Parents were familiar with this drive-thru excitement! Viewer @JenniLópez responded, “My 175lb dog gets ice water and bread from her local canes, lol. She cries when we pass it.” They know where the good stuff is located. Viewer @BeepBoop shared, “Dunkin asked if my dog could have a treat (said yes, expecting whipped cream). They gave him like three munchkins covered in whipped cream.” Ha! Those employees were dog lovers! Viewer @MarissaRose responded, “Once at Burger King, a lady gave my dog bacon. At any drive-thru, that’s the expectation now.” They never forget the good stuff.

Depending on who’s working the window, it seems just about every chain has a special treat for our furry friends. Not only does it brighten our dog’s days, but seeing their excitement brings joy to everyone.
