There are a lot of things you can do to improve your home's curb appeal . Some things are as simple as adding a new light fixture to the front porch, others are as drastic as painting the exterior of your house a new color, like black .

But by far the best thing one can do to improve their home’s curb appeal is to put a major focus on the landscaping, both front and back of the house!

It can be extremely overwhelming starting a landscape design for your home from scratch. Walking into a plant nursery you are instantly bombarded with an overload of flowers , trees, shrubs, grasses, and more.

Now if you are anything like me you typically grab whatever is catching your eye but there are actually some steps and more thoughtful actions you should take when creating a home landscape , many of which go far beyond the plants you choose. Pathways and patios is one of the most crucial aspects of landscaping and it turns out there are some pretty stellar DIYers who know how to create a stunning landscape with a focus on pathways, check one out below!

Now this is what we call aesthetic landscaping! These folks took their boring yard and flipped it on its head, giving the oomph it so desperately needed.

    Why Pathway Aesthic is Important

The entryway to a house is the first impression visitors get of your home, often it sets the mood for your space. Is it filled with clutter and a bit messy? Is there a pristine black concrete path with solar light? Maybe you have a bark mulch path lined with lavender bushes and other flowers .

Whatever it may be, the entryway is a significant portion of a home, and ensuring your entryway reflects the space you want to create is important. It doesn’t have to cost a lot to create a nice entryway, there are plenty of ways to get free materials like bark mulch , or old stone.
