Greene County Courts' case management systems remain down following electrical failure

Update: As of Tuesday afternoon, the Greene County Courts' electronic case management system was restored.

An electrical failure is affecting courts across the state, including in Greene County.

On Sunday, an electrical failure damaged computer equipment at one of Missouri's judiciary data centers. As a result, various systems, including the heavily-used Case.net website, have been unavailable. Although an investigation about the failure is ongoing, Missouri Courts do not suspect any suspicious activity, according to a news release .

As of Monday afternoon, the Greene County Courts' electronic case management systems was down and the courts could not access Case.net, Greene County Circuit Clerk Bryan Feemster told the News-Leader. Additionally, any hearings that required audio recordings have been rescheduled, as the courts' audio-recording equipment is not functioning either.

Feemster said the courts are able to complete "essential work," but some tasks have been put on halt due to the failure.

Missouri courts have remained open on Monday, and any updates will be posted on the Missouri Courts website . Feemster said he is unsure of when the issue will be resolved.

Missouri judicial offices will be closed Thursday and Friday in celebration of Independence Day.
