    Police respond to reported gunshots following alleged argument between two men

    BERKELEY COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A shooting investigation is underway after shots were fired following an alleged argument between two men.

    According to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department (BCSD), on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at around 7:10 PM, Berkeley County Central Dispatch received a report of gunshots at the Berkeley Gardens apartment complex on US Route 11N.

    The caller reported that someone had fired shots, hitting the windshield of her vehicle.

    Additional calls confirmed the presence of gunfire and a loud disturbance.

    Patrol units arrived at the scene to find two vehicles and two apartment windows in building 145 damaged by gunfire.

    Witnesses informed the officers that the shooting followed a physical altercation between two men.

    The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department Criminal Investigation Division (CID) has taken over the investigation.

    Interviews were conducted, and possible suspects have been identified.

    The BCSD crime scene team collected 18 nine-millimeter shell casings and several bullet fragments from the scene.

    Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

    Authorities are seeking information on an individual known as “Trama.”
