Anderson County government offices closed Thursday, Friday for Fourth of July holiday

Anderson County’s trash convenience centers will be closed on Thursday, July 4, but they will be open Friday and Saturday, July 5-6 during regular hours, 8 a.m.-6 p.m., according to a news release.

The Blockhouse Valley recycling facility will be closed Thursday through Saturday. The Anderson County Animal Shelter, at 1480 Blockhouse Valley Road, will be closed to the public Wednesday through Friday, July 3-5.

Anderson County government offices also will be closed Thursday and Friday, in observance of the Fourth of July holiday. The Anderson County Board of Commissioners sets county government holidays each year. For a list of holidays or departments, visit www.andersoncountytn.gov.

Emergency services in Anderson County will not be impacted by the Fourth of July holiday.
