As you already know, the 2024 BET Awards went down this past weekend, and Audacy’s very own Greg Street was there to chop it up with your faves ahead of the big show.

One of those faves is Coco Jones , who talked to Greg about the whirlwind of the last two years. "It’s really amazing, I’m really grateful," Coco expressed. “It's kind of surreal still, you know, winning a GRAMMY is crazy, winning Best New Artist at the BET Awards,” these are all things Coco admitted she “was not prepared for emotionally."

“I mean, I don't know, I feel like I wouldn't been this way if I didn't have that low valley before all of this… You know, I did the Disney thing and then I had a peak and then this low valley, it really taught me that all of these things are amazing but they come and go.”

Coco then went on to share her excitement and tease that her BET Awards plans were “gonna be good,” and well, as we all now know — she wasn’t lying. Listen to Coco's full interview below.

“It's a blessing, bro. I'm always grinding, man,” Master P says off the bat. “We don't let them roadblocks stop us, sometimes you gotta pop out on them. Now we popping out with this healthy oatmeal! My fans always say, ‘You know what, we need some healthy foods,’ and I heard them. We have a lot of successful businesses and then we came and said, we gonna change the game again the same way we changed it in Hip Hop. “I work really hard," Muni noted, “so definitely I'm grateful, but it feels like I'm supposed to be here.” Going on to unintentionally prove her point, Long revealed she has “a new album coming at the end of the year,” correction, “at the end of the summer,” and “it’s called Revenge .” Adding that she's also going on tour "opening up for Chris Brown.

Then talking about already having an impressive discography when “Hrs & Hrs” earned her skyrocketing success, Muni acknowledged “in this day and age,” a steady stream of content is necessary.

“You have to continuously be in people's face to remind them because there's so much music right? There's like, I think 30,000 songs a week, if not more being released,” she noted. “So you have to stay at the top of people's mind and then they will choose… whichever song they feel like is the one.” Listen to Muni's full interview below.

Davido , 2018’s pioneering BET International winner, spoke with Greg Street about his growth as an international artist, and his future endeavors, saying, “It's just amazing to see how everything just turned out, popped off. BET, performed last year… perform this year again. It’s just amazing. Nominated again… Just happy to be here, man.”

Speaking of his come-up, Davido -- who was born in Atlanta, and raised in Lagos, Nigeria  -- explains, “I did a little college in Alabama, so I always used to play African music for my American friends and they always love it. Like the real African music, like deep deep African, not Hip Hop. So, I always knew that if we got the exposure, if people could just get the opportunity to listen to us -- like radio and stuff like that --I always knew that it'll get to a time where the culture will be appreciated. We just had that moment now, and also we appreciate our own, you know what I'm saying? We don't leave home like that… I love being at home. I love being at Lagos. That's my favorite place to be at.”

“I feel like even just being at home and appreciating the culture and taking the culture everywhere we go to, that's what has helped us,” he adds.

Fans can look forward to the return of Davido’s A.W.A.Y Festival in Atlanta, as part two is scheduled for this November he tells us. “It’s gonna be like a Davido birthday bash, you know, bringing the two sides of my family,” he says. Listen to Davido's entire interview with Greg below.

Chatting it up with Greg about her excitement for “culture's biggest night,” Andra Day expressed, “It's beautiful and it's Black, so it's all the things that I love," going on to note, “I'm presenting tomorrow too, so I'm actually excited.”

Aside from her excitement to present the award for Best R&B , Andra is hype about her latest release, her second album and first in nine years, released on May 10. “So we have a tour coming up that starts August 9,” Day shared, adding, “We're also performing at the Napa Jazz Festival."

Andra also shared that she has a couple of movie releases coming up as well. “The movie that Lee (Daniels) and I filmed releases August 30, and then the other movie that Titus Kafar and I did, We're Exhibiting Forgiveness releases in September.”

Also talking about not wanting to be put in a box, and having the creative freedom to take on any project her heart desires, Andra said, “I feel like I always tell people, I'm like, people try to put you in a box, right? If you sing, you're a singer. If you produce, you're a producer, if you act, you're an actor, you're, but the truth is we're artists, which means we reflect the times, you know, we're conduits.”

She continued, “So I think the worst thing we can do is limit ourselves to one medium when it's like, we might be meant to be used this way in a different season of our lives. I like to stay open to those things, you know what I mean?” Listen to Andra's full interview below.

“We just do what was pure, what's from the heart. That's what we know,” he adds. “That's the music we love throughout our lives.”

“I think what inspired this was wanting to work with each other for a long time,” says Rock. “Like years and years, you know? We talked about it and we did two things, you know, in the span, but we found our way back to each other and here we are.”
