    Holcomb announces Warrick County judicial appointment

    HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Governor Eric Holcomb announced the appointment of Brett Roy to the Warrick County Superior Court #2.

    Roy has been the chief public defender in Warrick County since 2021. According to a release from Holcomb’s office, Roy was previously a self-employed attorney in Boonville and served as a part-time public defender. He is the president of the Warrick County Bar Association and a volunteer coach.

    Holcomb also announced Trish McMath and Shane Evans will be appointed to the Marion County Superior Courts and Carroll County Circuit Court respectively. A date for them to be sworn in as judges has yet to be determined.
