    Be prepared for closure on Clement Town Road in Powhatan

    POWHATAN COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will close a section of Clement Town Road in Powhatan County for crossline pipe replacement.

    According to VDOT, if weather permits, a section of Clement Town Road between Old Buckingham Road and Genito Road will be closed for a crossline pipe replacement project beginning Tuesday, July 9 at 8 a.m. until Thursday, July 11 at 2:30 p.m.

    Residents will still be able to access their homes throughout the operation.

    Drivers are advised to use the following detours:

    Northbound Traffic: Turn right on Old Buckingham Road, turn right on Giles Bridge Road, continue on Route 609 to Amelia County Royalton Road, turn right on Genito Road and turn right on Clement Town Road.

    Southbound Traffic: Turn left on Genito Road, turn left on Royalton Road, continue on Route 609 to Amelia County Royalton Road, turn left on Old Buckingham Road and turn left on Clement Town Road.
