Drew Scott is sending an unclear message that’s, unfortunately, very clear to parents of newborns. The HGTV star shares 2-year-old son Parker and infant daughter Piper with wife Linda Phan, and his latest TikTok is hitting a pain point that is reminding parents that if they don’t laugh, they’ll cry.

In the video, Scott looks beyond tired and the text over the video says, “Me trying to form complete sentences after staying up all night with a newborn.” Scott then tries to mouth along to the following audio, but even that proves difficult:

“What did you do, who did you, um, where did you wake up, um who did you hang out with,” he said while a baby cried in the background.

“Brain cells: fried,” Scott captioned the post that parents understand all too well. Followers can’t help but nod along in the comments because the struggles of sleep deprivation are real .

“So relatable😂” “❤️😂❤️you look distressed Drew … lol😂😂😂😂” “There is no exhaustion like newborn parent exhaustion. It’ll get better!”

Plenty of people had similar words of encouragement for the Property Brothers star. “We give up our own batteries to charge theirs and it’s so worth it.” “Those were the best years AFTER you get through them 🩷💙🩷💙🩷”

Last month, Scott shared the first photo of his daughter since her birth earlier that month in a sweet Father’s Day post. “My heart feels so full to now have two little ones call me ‘Daddy’! And thank you dad for shaping me into the man I am today. Happy #FathersDay! ❤️” he captioned a carousel of photos that included ones featuring teeny tiny Piper and her full head of dark brown hair. Hopefully his daughter’s cuteness and his full heart can help Drew get through the next few months sans sleep. As one follower said of the early days, “Enjoy it, it goes by too fast! ❤️”
