WHEELING, W.Va. (WTRF) – Pink plastic flamingos are popping up in yards throughout Ohio and Marshall Counties, and yours could be next!

“Flock it Forward” is Crittenton Services’ summer fundraiser, where you can pick any lawn of your choosing and for a $20 donation, that yard will get “flocked” with flamingos!

These pink feathered friends not only spread joy and provide a laugh, but they also spread awareness for the accessible mental health services that Crittenton Services provides.

”We’ve got all sorts of reactions. A lot of kids love it. They love waking up and coming out in the morning and here’s a whole bunch of birds in their front lawns. People just seem to really enjoy it. It’s just a gag, you know. It’s a fun little joke to kind of, help spread some smiles.”

Aleece Abell – Marketing and Development Coordinator, Crittenton Services

If you would like to “Flock it Forward,” you can make arrangements and donations at crittentonwv.org/flocked .

For the months of July and August, the flamingos will stay out for 24 hours and will be removed the next day.
