    Man jailed after stabbing woman in Cumberland County, police report

    CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A man is in jail after police say he stabbed a woman Friday.

    Amgad Hanna, 30, of Harrisburg, is accused of stabbing the woman at a residence located in the first block of Gettysburg Pike after 11 p.m., Upper Allen Township Police said in a report.

    According to the police report, they were dispatched for a stabbing and found an injured woman after arriving at the scene. Hanna was able to leave the home before officers arrived.

    Police said Hanna was identified as the suspect during the investigation, and he was taken into custody Saturday in Harrisburg by Lower Paxton Township Police.

    Hanna faces multiple felony charges of aggravated assault and burglary, along with misdemeanor charges of recklessly endangering another person, simple assault and possession of weapon.

    Hanna is currently lodged in Cumberland County Prison on bail set at $100,000 and awaits a preliminary hearing scheduled for July 11.
