Tommyinnit honored Technoblade two years after his untimely death.

The young YouTube star and Dream SMP member posted new video footage on Technoblade's channel on June 30 which showed previously unseen moments of the late Minecraft sensation. Making a cameo to interoduce video, Tommy explained: "Hey, so I know this is a bit weird seeing me here on this channel, but I have some good news. Two years ago, I recorded a video with Technoblade where 100 Minecraft YouTubers came together to survive some natural disasters and fight to the death.

"A few months ago, I realized I didn't actually use much of Techno's footage in my video and after taking a long, long time to track his recording down, I found out it was actually really entertaining, so I've put together what I think would live up to a video a Technoblade video in Alex's standards, so please enjoy new Technoblade video."

Moreover, Technoblade's dad, affectionately called Technodad by fans, released a video for the ten year anniversary of his channel which showed a 2009 video from Technoblade called "Alex's first ever video." The video was created on a smartphone through stop motion photos when he was nine years old.

Technoblade's death was announced in 2022 following a lengthy battle with sarcoma cancer. He revealed his diagnosis initially in Aug. 2021 in a video entitled, "where I've been," where he described a tumor he discovered as he showed various clips of his Minecraft game play.

He later updated fans in Dec. 2021 in a video called, "I Almost Became an Amputee" where he admitted he was going through chemotherapy and went through a surgery to remove the tumor which luckily didn't result in an amputation.

A final update came in June 2022 when a video was released called so long nerds which, to date, has over 108 million views. It featured Technoblade's father who read a lengthy farewell note from the YouTuber himself, including the news that he passed away.

The letter said: "Hello, everyone. Technoblade here. If you're watching this, I am dead, so let's sit down and have one final chat. My real name is Alex ... Sorry for selling out so much in the past year, but thanks to everyone that bought hoodies plushies and channel memberships, my siblings are going to college. Well, if they want to. I don't want to put any dead brother peer pressure on them.

"But that's all from me. Thank you all for supporting my content over the years. If i had another 100 lives I think I would choose to be Technoblade again every single time as those were the happiest years of my life. I hope you guys enjoyed my content and that I made some of you laugh and i hope you all go on to live long prosperous and happy lives because i love you guys. Technoblade out."

His family and friends have promoted and helped raise funds for the Sarcoma Foundation in his honor, including through ongoing merchandise sales. As part of Tommy's release of the latest video, the late social media star's website re-released both old limited merchandise and new merchandise.

Fans left touching messages of gratitude to Tommy and tributes to the late Technoblade. One fan wrote: "The fact that him saying 'I gotta go in like 15 minutes I have chemo' just hits so hard. We miss you Techno. Technoblade never dies, nor does his upload schedule."

Another said: "I... I didnt know that missed his voice THIS much :) And wow.. tommy never met techno irl, but he's keeping techno's legacy for everyone. Thanks Tom."
