OLDHAM COUNTY, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – The Texas Department of Public Safety released further information on a fatal Monday crash that injured three people and killed one person in Oldham County.
According to DPS, four people from Albuquerque, N.M. were westbound in a 2007 Hummer H3 at around 3:40 p.m. on Monday on I-40, about 26 miles west of Adrian. Officials noted that “for an unknown reason” the Hummer veered off the roadway into the center median and rolled over, ejecting the one passenger who was not wearing a seatbelt.
The passenger who was ejected, 47-year-old Fabiola Ahumada-Castillo of Albuquerque, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The three other people in the Hummer during the crash were taken to a local hospital with injuries, but were all reported to be in stable condition.
