    Long Island house demolition leaves one dead, another injured: police

    MANORHAVEN, N.Y. (PIX11) — A man was injured, and another is dead after a wall fell on them during the demolition of a home Monday on Long Island, according to officials.

    During the demolition at 56 Kirkwood Rd. in Manorhaven, a concrete wall fell on two men around 12 p.m., according to Nassau County Police.

    A 20-year-old man went into cardiac arrest while being taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police. A 56-year-old man was also taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

    Police said the investigation is ongoing, and additional information was not available.
