Let’s get into our RAW results for July 1, 2024 and see what happens with our final Money In The Bank qualifiers!

    Quick Results:

    • Xavier Woods stole one from Karrion Kross. Following the match, AOP and Kross destroyed both Woods and more especially, Kofi Kingston. As things stand I can’t see Kofi turning, but the New Day need some backup.
    • Liv Morgan retains her world title against Zelina Vega.
    • Zoey Stark outlasts Ivy Nile and Dakota Kai to punch her ticket to the women’s Money In The Bank ladder match.
    • Rey Mysterio tops Dom.This one was more I guess to further the Dom/Liv stuff, which was weird because, well, we just had more of that with the women’s title match. Was an OK match.
    • Drew McIntyre defeats Ilja Dragunov and Sheamus to earn a shot at the men’s briefcase.

    Best Match of the night:

A few options, but the main event makes the most sense. Drew wins and promises he is going to pull down the briefcase and walk out of Toronto the World Heavyweight Champion. Which makes me feel quite certain Punk , or someone on Punk’s behalf (like say, AJ Lee ) makes sure that does not happen. For what it’s worth, as long as it isn’t Punk or Lee leading to a failed cash in, I am OK with it.

    Worst match of the night:

Fans loved it, but the Rey/Dom match didn’t do much for me.

    Crowd Chants of the Night:

Hot Boston crowd, and I will leave it at that.

    Star of the Night

Tough call, but I did enjoy what Sami Zayn and Bron Breakker did with their screen time. It’s hard not to expect a Breakker win on Saturday, but perhaps the creative call is for him to come close and finally get the big win at SummerSlam ?

    Spot of the Night:

Bron’s spears. Or maybe Zelina with that top rope sunset flip power bomb?

Holy Sh** Moment of the Night:

Honestly? Nothing made me say it. Like sure, the Wyatt Sicks did their thing again, and it earned one of these chants. It was a nice segment, but I didn’t feel it was a true holy shi!@ moment.

    Commentary of the night:

Loved Graves mentioning Eddie’s late tag team partner the Love Machine Art Barr.

    LOL Moment of the night:

Dom, telling Priest that he and Rhea were good, which Priest then refuted because why not.

    Noteworthy Moment:

Judgement Day is on a slow burn, and who knows if things kick into high gear on Saturday. Finn is ticked at Priest. Rhea is mad at Dom. Priest is mad at everyone for enjoying Liv’s company. Whether we see Judgement Day continue in a new form, or not at all? That remains to be seen.

    Overall lowlights:

If I have one complain, I would say that this was an average show. Good, not great. Hardly the worst thing in the world, and if that’s my big complaint, it was a fine show.

    Overall highlights:

And it was a fine show. Good but not great. More Money In The Bank qualifiers are done, Saturday is shaping up. Not a bad round of RAW results for this July 1, 2024.

    After the final bell:

Next time we get to take in RAW, will we have a new champion or two? It’s entirely possible. We may tune into RAW with a briefcase holder or two (probably will, since they can go and challenge for whatever title they wish). Things are going to be interesting soon enough.
