CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – An additional juvenile suspect involved with the shooting death of a Chest County teenager is now facing charges, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division has announced.

18-year-old woman charged with 16-year-old’s murder in Chester: Police

Chester resident John Bland, 18, faces multiple charges including accessory after the fact to murder and obstructing justice.

Officers responded to calls regarding the incident around 11:58 p.m. on April 2nd at Frank Connor Park. A 16-year-old male juvenile was found suffering from gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead on scene.

An initial investigation identified Connie Di’Rose Miller, 18, as the suspect. She was arrested within less than 24 hours and charged with murder.

Court records obtained by Queen City News this week stated that Miller called Bland the night of the shooting, informed Bland of the shooting, and then Bland drove Miller from the scene.
