Malayalee From India

Directed by Dijo Jose Antony, Malayalee From India premiered in theaters on May 1, 2024. Almost two months after its theatrical release, the makers have scheduled its digital streaming on SonyLIV starting July 5, 2024. The film stars Nivin Pauly as Aalparambil Gopi, Dhyan Sreenivasan as Malghosh KP, and Anaswara Rajan as Krishna. The cast also includes Deepak Jethi, Shine Tom Chacko, Salim Kumar, Manju Pillai, and others in supporting roles. Notably, this film marks the third collaboration between the director and the writer, Sharis Mohammed.

Set against the backdrop of Kerala, the film revolves around two friends, Gopi and Malghosh, who spend most of their time in cricket and political campaigns. However, the story takes an unexpected turn after India loses a cricket match against Pakistan. This resulted in some residents of the colony celebrating India’s loss, sparking a communal riot between Hindus and Muslims. Scheduled to stream on SonyLIV from July 5 onwards, it offers an intriguing storyline for those interested in watching.

Turbo

Mammootty’s latest action-drama, Turbo, was released in theaters on May 23, 2024. Following its successful theatrical run, the makers have now scheduled its digital release for July 12, 2024, on SonyLIV. The film will be available in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. Although an official announcement from the makers is awaited, it is expected to go live at midnight.

Directed by Vysakh, the film marks the third collaboration between Mammootty and the director after Pokkiri Raja and Madhu Raja. Alongside Mammootty, the cast of Turbo includes Anjana Jayaprakash and Alexander Prasanth in significant roles. The film follows the story of Jose, also known as Turbo Jose, a jeep driver who moves to Chennai and faces a series of challenges, which sets the stage for an action-packed drama for the audience. Fans can anticipate catching it on SonyLIV starting July 12.

Pattaapakal

Directed by Saajir Sadaf, the latest Malayalam comedy film, Pattaapakal, was released on June 28, 2024. The film features Krishna Sankar, Johny Antony, Sudhi Koppa, and Gokulan as lead characters. On the technical front, Shaan Rahman has scored the music, Kannan Patteri has handled the cinematography, and Jassal Saheer edited the film. The film’s synopsis on IMDb reads , “A string of incidents intertwines two friends, a minister, a gangster, and four small-time criminals.”

Regarding its digital release date, it is expected that the makers will release the digital version by the end of July 2024. Since the movie has recently hit theaters, audiences may have to wait a while to experience its OTT release.

Nadanna Sambhavam

Nadanna Sambhavam is another addition to the Malayalam comedy-drama genre, released on June 21, 2024. Vishnu Narayan directed the film in collaboration with writer Rajesh Gopinadhan. Additionally, Anup Kannan and Renu A have produced the movie under the banner of Anup Kannan Stories.

Nadanna Sambahvam features Biju Menon as Sreekumaran Unni, Suraj Venjaramoodu as Ajith Neelakandan, and Shruti Ramachandran as Roshy in the lead roles. Additionally, the cast includes Lijomol Jose, Sudhi Koppa, Lalu Alex, Johny Antony, Noushad Ali, and others. The film explores the perspectives of toxic and healthy marriages in modern scenarios, primarily focusing on the importance of women’s agency.

Regarding its OTT release, it is expected that Nadanna Sambhavam will be available for streaming in July, although an official confirmation is still pending.
