    Update: One killed in Somerset County crash, another taken to hospital

    SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — One person was pronounced dead after a vehicle crash in Somerset County Monday evening.

    The crash happened around 7 p.m. July 1 on Old Lincoln Highway in Quemahoning Township. According to state police, 55-year-old Wave Mostoller of Shanksville was driving a Ford Fusion east when he left the road and hit a tree head-on.

    Mostoller was pronounced dead at the scene while the passenger, a 40-year-old woman, was rushed to Conemaugh Hospital.

    Troopers noted in their report that neither Mostoller nor the passenger had their seatbelts on.

    Stoystown Fire, Freidens Fire, Hooversville Fire, and Somerset EMS all responded to the scene.
